The Professional Service Advisor Development Program™ was created to provide a continuous improvement process for the professional automotive Service Advisor. PSADP fulfills the need in today's automotive service market for ongoing training and support. The mission of PSADP is to provide Service Advisors with the tools they need to achieve higher levels of success in all aspects of their job.

As a Service Advisor, you are accountable for every sales and gross profit dollar earned, and responsible for managing the workflow's and staff to produce the maximum billable hours each day. In addition, Service Advisors are primarily responsible for the customer's overall perception of the business.

Fierce competition in the last several years has created the necessity for Service Advisors to stay on top of the latest techniques, continuously honing their sales skills and using the latest cutting-edge tools available.

Getting Started

Minimum System Requirements
Hardware
• Pentium III 500 Mhz or higher
• 128 MB RAM
• DSL/Cable Internet connection
(BLIG members may use Dial-up)

Software
• Windows 2000 or XP
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, or Netscape Communicator
4.x or higher
• JavaScript and cookies enabled in browser
Adobe Acrobat Reader

Tools and Other Requirements
• Email Account
• Headset and speaker phone
• Calculator
• Quiet/Noise-Free Environment

In order to have an optimal training experience with minimal to no glitches,
we strongly recommend that you update your computer system to the minimum system requirements.

It is essential that you have an email account. Your user id and password
and all other essential information about each training session is emailed
to you. All training materials are also sent via email. If you do not have an email account, please obtain one. Without an email account you will be unable to participate in an online training session.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is an essential tool that you will need in order
to view and print your class session materials. If you do not have it, please click here to download this free software.

In order to hear the instructor during the online training session, you will
need a
speaker phone with a headset. The online training sessions utilize the Internet (to see the presentations live in your web browser) and the telephone to listen and speak to the instructor and other participants. You
will need a speaker phone if you are having other staff in your shop participating in the session so they can hear as well. If you are the only
one participating from your shop, then we strongly recommend that you use
a headset to minimize background noise and enable you to hear the instructor and other participants clearly.

Training Set-Up

Training Software Installation
In order to participate in the online training session, you will need to first download the free training software. Go to the Training Site and click on the Setup link on the left of the browser window. Click on the link titled Meeting Manager. In the center of the window you'll see a Setup button. Click it and it will begin the setup procedure for the Training software. You must choose Yes to any security warnings that appear. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, this installation may take anywhere from less then a minute to ten minutes or more so be sure to setup the Training client software BEFORE the day of your scheduled session. Click OK once the software has been installed.

Connect to the Teleconferencing Call
When you sign into the meeting you will be presented with a pop-up window
on your browser telling you the phone number to dial, meeting number,
and your attendee ID number. This information is very important so
write it down! It will be needed to sign in and reconnect to the teleconference if you get disconnected and we cannot supply your attendee ID number to you if
you lose it.

Log-in for the Online Training Session
Click on the "Online Training Log In" button (located on the Professional Service Advisor Development Program website home page and at the top of all the Professional Service Advisor Development Program™ website pages). This should take you to the training website with today's date displayed. If today’s date is not displayed, you can select the date by clicking on the Calendar button and clicking on today’s date on the Calendar pop-up window.

Once you see today's date, click on the name of the class session that you
are registered for. The system will prompt you for your password (which
should have been emailed to you prior to the start of the session). Enter
your password and click OK. The class session page will appear (with the name of the class, time of the class, the teleconference number to call, etc.). At the bottom of this class page there is a
"Join Now" button. Click on this button
to join the class session!

Forum Set-Up

Click on the "Service Advisor Forums" button located on the Professional Service Advisor Development Program™ website home page or the "Forums" button located near the top of all the Professional Service Advisor Development Program™ website pages. Doing so will open up a new browser window where you can log in to the Forums using your user id and password.

Manual Repair Order Audit Set-Up

Each quarter, each Professional Service Advisor Development Program™ participant will be required to send in repair orders for manual audit. In return, they will receive personalized feedback and scoring and they will also be provided with their standing in their PSADP Circle as well as all of the PSADP Circles.

The first audit begins after the completion of the third month of Enrollment. Participants will receive notification and directions from their Instructor at the appropriate time when the auditing process is due to begin.
